The primary product we are intensively developing is a Steel Mill Level 2 Software system, and a Metallurgical System to support both Steel Mill Level 2 and Steel Mill Level 3. Metal Pass is also providing Remote Diagnosis to improve existing Level 2 system for steel mills. Metal Pass consulting uses our expertise in model-based draft scheduling for steel rolling mills, such as Level 2 model and roll pass. We work in a wide range of mill software development. The mill model and roll pass consultant, Benjamin Li, earned his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. (Germany, 1995) all on steel rolling and has worked on rolling model development for 20 years in three countries (China, Germany and USA), with a book and a list of papers published (six papers in 2-3/2008 alone). He has also worked as mill software engineer for 10 years and with 30 computer classes completed during the work.
